~PEACE ANGEL & DOVE~

~PEACE ANGEL~ Is just so very PRETTY. There are move detailed pictures above, in the slide show, please wait for the slide show to load. Peace Angel has so much detail and has the sweetest face. Peace Angel has an INNOCENCE about her. Peace Angel is a Back Porch Pickins Original.

Peace Angel is 23 inches tall and her wing-span is 13 inches across. Peace is made of aged osnaburg. Here eyes are hand painted, eyelids stitched on seperately. Peace has a needle sculpted nose and she has meticulously floss stitched lips. Her face has been lightly shaded for depth and character and lightly blushed as well.

I have hand stitched antique tinsel cord around the neckline and bottom of her dress. All of the edges are fully finished, lots of detail. Here pantalets have lil pom pom trim hand stitched into place...

Peach Angel holds in her arms a Beautiful Dove. I did not design the dove, it was made with a wonderful pattern from R.K. Creations. The Dove has a lot of detail...made of painted muslin, machine sculpted wings & tail and then finished off with glass eyes.

The Dove can be removed from the Angels hands, but Angel's hands are stitched together to hold her dove. You can snip the string, if you no longer want Peace Angel to hold her Dove.

I have been holding on to a few of my antique buttons and I have graced ~Peace Angel~ with one of them. I find them hard to part with, because they are getting harder to come by. So yes, I have added one to Peace. She is so very petty in person, her hair is wool and needle felted in place. I have made for her a halo made of Christmas greens, glittered accents and a glass glittered star, that will tarnish over time. Her halo is held in place with 3 decorative glittered pins. You can remove her halo, but I feel it adds so much.

~~WINTER BLESSINGS SNOWMAN~~

~Winter Blessings Snowman~ is chalked full of character and detail. He reminds me of the vintage style snowfolk from years ago. Winter is 23 inches tall, made of painted and aged muslin and is made to hang of sit. He does not sit on his own, but must lean a bit against something. His face was created with lots of hand painted and shading, to bring Winter to life. His nose is made of wood and then carefully added in place. Winter's hat is made of wool felt, all hand stitched and then vintage style seam binding has been stitched in place and a glass glittered snowflake finishes his hat off.

Winter sports a full ruffle around his neck, which reminds me of the vintage style ones and I have finished off his sleeves and bottom of his shirt with more vintage style seam binding, hand sewn into place.

Winter has a vintage style tree in hand and is about 9 inches tall, from the tip of the tree to the base of the bucket. The bucket is stitched in place, as is his hand. The tree just "sits" within the bucket and can be removed for safe storage. The tree has been "aged" for an olde-thyme look and I have finished the tree off with star garland and then glass glittered the stars. I also added a glass glittered snowflake to the bucket.

I made for Winter a neat snowflake with "Winter Blessings" as a banner. The snowflake is glass glittered and will tarnish over time, for that wonderful look we all love. I have added tinsel garland for some more detail. When I made the snowflake and banner, I did not realize the weight of it and I had to place a pin, in place towards the top, so that the snowflake and banner stay put. I think the snowflake and banner add so much and I did not want to remove it from the set, so it just needs a help a bit to stay in place.

Winter's pants are hand stitched at the bottom and Winter has painted on boots. Winter Blessings would make a wonderful additon to anyone's collection for the Winter-Thyme season. Winter will arrived signed, dated and wrapped beautifully.

~WHIMSICAL ORNAMENTS~

~Whimsical Ornaments~ are NEW for me! I have made nodders, heads on boxes, heads in cones and such, but never into ornaments. I love the way that each one turned out and I hope you do too. Each one is sold sepeartely. I will describe each one seperately as well. They are a Back Porch Pickins Original and will arrive packaged beautifully!

Bunny Rabbit Ornament is 13.5 inches tall from the tip of the hat to the bottom of the bell. Made of aged osnaburg, hand painted eyes, stitched on eyelids, wired ears and then I shaded and blushed the face for depth and character. Rabbit has a dimensional head and a needle felted muzzle, which makes Rabbit look just the sweetest. I have given Rabbit a neat looking floss nose with lots and lots of stitching and whiskers as well.

Rabbit has a cone hat, stitched into place, a full ruffle collar, I made crochet funky yarn for trim, hand stitched in place and added vintage style seam binding for the hanger and for the antique looking bell to hang from.

Snowman Ornament is 11 inches tall from the top of his hat, down to the bell. Made of painted and aged osnaburg, hand painted eyes, stitched on eyelids, wooden nose, and then a painted coal mouth. Full ruffle collar, wool felt hat that was fully hand stitched and then stitched in place. I finished off the hat with funky yarn, to give it sparkle and then added a glass glittered snowflake. Vintage style seam binding was added for the hanger and to add the antique style bell to hang from.

Snowgirl Ornament is 12.5 inches tall from the tip of the cone hat, down to the bell. Made of painted and aged osnaburg. She features hand painted eyes, stitched on eyelids, a wooden nose and a neat black wire mouth (that has been stitched in place). I made a cone hat, that is all stitched in place and then crochet some funky yarn for time. I added 2 glass glittered snowflakes on her cone hat.

She has a full ruffle around the bottom and then finished off with vintage style seam binding for hanging and to add the antique style bell.
